Hailing from Birmingham, England, Luke has always been involved with music from a very young age, as he recalls "I remember making crazy little shows in my bedroom on a crappy tape recorder with typical 1980's Casio keyboard". Luke started out his musical life aged 5 singing at the St Columbus choir in Birmingham then leaving because his main passion lay in the field of rock pop and indie. Since the age of just 14 Luke has performed in many bands around Britain winning the BRMB battle of the bands competition in 2003, collaborating with the likes of musical youth, steel pulse and also attending the annual international music marketing conference MIDEM in Cannes as a delegate mixing with the likes of Bob Geldof, Goldie Lookin Chain, Telepathetics, to name but a few. Luke also holds a BA in popular music studies which he aquired at the highly respected Birmingham conservatoire part of the University of Central England. When he heard about a job opportunity on the Costa's Number 1 he packed his bags and now currently resides on the Costa Blanca. Luke's always up for a laugh and doesn't take himself too seriously as you can hear when his personality roars through the airwaves every Saturday afternoon from 1200-1500 and Sundays 1600 – 1900 CET. Luke's musical tastes span the genres and the decades as you'll find out when you tune into both of his weekend shows. |
